Disgruntled ‘Xbox engineer’ details unannounced game sharing and social features | The Verge
A self proclaimed Xbox engineer has taken to pastbin to voice is sadness about Microsofts communication.
However, the engineer reveals that Family Sharing would only let family members access a “demo mode” of the game for between 15 mins and 45 mins, and in some cases an hour.
To me this sounds like a demo. Any demo one could have played in the last 20 years. Nothing so special about that. It is a nice touch though that you can save your progress.
All wonderfull things aside about this, it is something that should have been implemented as a standard. Like with films, where you can watch the first 20 minutes or so online.
And what does family mean in this world of ever growing connections. Bonds by blood are not all people live by nowadays. The social world of peoiple and the one they care about and may call family, has grown much bigger than that.
The on thing we can conclude from this is that social is the new buzzword. Byebye, 3D, byebye movement, hello social!
