Try Hard: The Story Behind The Die Hard Trilogy Game
Development became a free-for-all of wish fulfilment. An idea suggested in the morning would be in the game by the time everyone went home.
Edge has published a fine piece about the history behind the wonderful enjoyably Die Hard Trilogy. It is a must read for every fan of the game and gaming culture enthusiast. The piece gives a fantastic insight into how the team managed to pull off the impossible. And how fun and bonding prevailed with the small team in making three games into one, with a movie license. Three games that raised the bars on what was possible on the Playstation and with gaming.
I myself have very fond memories of renting a PSX with two games. Those games would often be Crash Bandicoot, Mickey Mouse or Die Hard Trilogy. If I recall correctly, I actually bought that exact copy of the game after years of renting it. Fun times it was in New York and Nakatomi Plaza.
